Tides of Life

Recently I have looked at sayings
Inspirational and motivational sayings
Aspirational and sustaining sayings
All pertaining to living my life sayings
The tide brings in the good tidings
The ebb of life takes away the good tidings
The tide of time brings sad times
Then the sadness ebbs away with flowing times
All people come in as if in the tide of life
While some people disappear is the ebb of life
Positive, learning and growth are seen in the tide of life
Sadness, despair and anxiety are the tarnishing ebb of life
Depression, disability and pain ebbs the life
Courage, patience and tolerance it teaches so tide returns to life
Everything in life has two sides to it
For every con around we can find a pro to it
Ying cannot exist without the yang
Rarely this understanding comes in a bang
We have to know sadness to understand joy
We have to struggle to understand how to enjoy
Typically to understand this fact it takes a whole life
That every ebb of life leads to the tide of life
The tides can mean a whole lot more life
If we learn to live in the ebbs with patience in life

This is the eternal endeavour of man to find the balance in life

Here Comes the Monsoon

The summer is always hot and dry
Temperatures soar high
On the pavement an egg you can fry
Lassitude from the heat makes you sigh

Everyone is waiting eagerly
To welcome the monsoon
To see the storm clouds gathering
To feel the coolness of rain soon

As the day grows old
Shadows made by the clouds
The sun becoming paler gold
Skies being darkened by the clouds

The breeze picks up slowly
The leaves begin to rustle
The wind soon whispers secretively
The flora also start doing the hustle

The first drop of rain
Earth welcomes the first drop
The dry earth ready to soak up the rain
Drop follows another drop

The smell of the wet earth
Makes you take a deep breath
The sweet smell of moistening earth
The dampening coolness filling your breath

The drops grow in size, big and fat
The downpour starts to increase
The rain collects in puddles fat
Looking like it will not cease

I rush out on to the rain
On to my terrace
To dance with joy in the rain
The cooling rain on my face

The joy of leaping about
The laughter at the fun
Of kicking the water spraying about
Seeing if you can get wetter at a run

When I see the first drops of monsoon rain
When I see the kids leaping in the rain
The joy of getting wet wandering in the rain
It takes me back to my childhood in the rain

Making me smile all over again
With the remembered joy again
Making me hum again
I am singing in the rain…. again

Moment of Joy

On the way to work on a Friday morning
Tired and stressed after a busy long week
Eyes feel gritty from lack of sleep
Need to concentrate on the driving
The mist is curling along the tree tops
And along the ground over the fields
Looking eerie in the dim light of dawn
As dawn brightens the sky mirrors
The wispy mist with small fluffy clouds
Then the first tinge of pink is on the horizon
The intense pink spreads across the sky
Like a blush across a cheek
Fading to pale yellow as it spreads
The fields on either side f the road
The grass covered in mild frost
The road curves past the next field
There in the curling mist a family of deer
Gracefully moving along the field
Almost like a silhouette
Against the slowly brightening sky
A beautiful picture perfect moment
A smiles comes to my face
Friday is not so bad after all
