Rainbow Lorikeets

Have not been to walk in the park
When he works weekends, how do I get to the park?
This morning we went early
It is cooler when it is early
There are always different things to admire
Changing flora and fauna to admire
A picture paints a thousand words
Today I forgot my camera so will go with the words
A beautiful pair of lorikeets in the tree
One on a branch and other in the hollow of the tree
One with a redder breast
Other with a more orange breast
The name rainbow is so apt
The colours are bright and I am completely rapt
The one from the hollow flew to the branch
Soon there was some kissing going on, on the branch
They pair for life and fly together
Often heard twittering as they fly together
High up in the trees
Hard to see in the thickened canopy of leaves
So seeing a pair sitting by their nest
In the hollow of eucalyptus tree was the best
Its breeding time right now
Wonder if there were babykeets in the nest now
Nature can be harsh but is also beautiful
A glimpse of loving lorikeets reminds me that life is beautiful
